Post-Repair Inspection
A post-repair inspection documents visible and reasonably accessible collision-repair concerns. CCSI examines the quality of observable repairs, including poor or incomplete work, poor welding, excessive plastic filler, panel fit, and other defects. The inspection does not certify vehicle safety or confirm conditions that cannot be seen or accessed.
When an Inspection May Be Appropriate
- Vehicle does not drive or handle as before
- Warning lights or sensor messages
- Unusual noise, vibration, wind noise or water leaks
- Paint, panel-gap or alignment concerns
- Repeated returns to the shop
- Unresolved concerns
- Questions about parts, welds, structural work, corrosion protection or ADAS calibration
What CCSI May Examine
- Repair estimate and final invoice
- Repaired and adjacent areas
- Paint-thickness readings
- Panel-gap and alignment measurements
- Structural areas and repair access points when visible
- OEM versus aftermarket or salvage parts when identifiable
- Evidence of incomplete or remaining damage
- Airbags, sensors and ADAS documentation
- Photographic documentation
- Comparison of billed operations with observable work
What the Customer Receives
Customers receive a detailed written report and photo essay documenting visible deficiencies, repair-quality concerns, and unresolved questions. This service is especially helpful when a vehicle continues to have problems after repairs or has been returned to the shop without a satisfactory resolution.
- Independent written report
- Photo essay
- Identified deficiencies or unresolved questions
- Estimate comparison
- Professional conclusions within the scope of the inspection
If findings affect value, a separate diminished-value analysis may also be appropriate. The inspection is performed to document the actual condition; we do not guarantee specific outcomes or that problems will be found.
Inspection findings depend on the vehicle, accessibility, documentation and conditions observed. CCSI provides independent automotive opinions and does not provide legal advice.
